Job Summary:

2nd-8th Grade Mandarin Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging, standards-based instruction that exceeds Colorado state standards while fostering students' language acquisition and cultural understanding. This role challenges students to reach their academic potential by creating a dynamic learning environment that develops speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in Mandarin. The teacher will cultivate a classroom culture of curiosity, global awareness, and respect while differentiating instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of elementary and middle school students. The Mandarin Teacher collaborates with colleagues, communicates regularly with families, and supports the school's mission of preparing students to become confident, lifelong learners in a global community. Essential functions of the job may include but are not limited to the following: Plan and prepare lessons, using school curriculum and state standards. Clearly communicate daily lesson objectives Assess student progress and growth using both formal and informal assessment Establish procedure and rule to maintain order and effective classroom management Maintain accurate student performance records Communicate with parents

Job Requirements:

B.A./B.S.
