Job Description The ESOL Teacher provides targeted language instruction and academic support to multilingual learners (MLLs) to ensure they can access grade-level curriculum and develop English language proficiency. Reporting to the principal or campus administrator, the ESOL Teacher supports English Language Learners (ELLs) through differentiated instruction, language development strategies, and instructional accommodations aligned with students' English proficiency levels. The ESOL Teacher collaborates with general education teachers to ensure effective instructional scaffolds are implemented in the classroom while supporting student progress toward English language proficiency as measured by WIDA/ACCESS and other assessment tools. This role requires a culturally responsive educator who understands language acquisition, differentiated instruction, and strategies to support multilingual learners academically and socially.
