With a focus on dual-language immersion, an experiential-learning model and a constructivist approach, GLOBE inspires students to be high-performing lifelong learners equipped to make a positive impact in the world. We are currently seeking Part-time DLI French Teacher /Teacher Assistant. Teachers should have a solid understanding of supporting and facilitating second language acquisition teaching to small and large groups of students within an experiential learning model. GLOBE language teachers and teachers' assistants encourage 100% partner language use between students. Classroom support, including, but not limited to, working with individual students and small groups. Creation of classroom support materials. Afternoon and morning duties, as assigned. Providing classroom coverage for teachers. Teacher Responsibilities
  • Educate students in English OR Partner Language in a dual language immersion program in a 50/50 model.
  • Communicate and collaborate with parents/guardians, partner teachers, administrators, special education teachers, and other service providers regarding the instructional program and student progress in a dual language immersion environment.
  • Develop lesson plans utilizing a variety of instructional strategies to improve student achievement in a general curriculum; identifying instructional materials; assessing equipment needs to augment instruction; maintaining student data; and promoting positive student behavior.
  • Participate in grade level meetings and professional learning activities.
  • Develop and maintain systems to monitor overall student progress and specific progress toward achieving goals through formal/informal assessments, and data collection. This would include collaborating for our standards based report cards. Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Three (3) years' experience working with Elementary School aged students
  • Certification preferred or will receive a Georgia Professional Standards Certification (GaPSC) within three (3) years from hire date
