Summer ESL Teacher & Activity Leader Positions

Sylvan Learning, located in Kahala, is looking for energetic and reliable ESL teachers and activity leaders to join our Summer Camp team. We are hiring part-time staff for the summer break. ESL teachers should be comfortable working with young learners at a variety of English proficiency levels and creating an engaging, supportive classroom environment. Our Summer Camp runs from July 13 through August 28 . Staffing is generally scheduled on a weekly basis, Monday through Friday, depending on enrollment. Morning ESL Teacher Position ESL classes are held in the mornings from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Teachers may arrive as early as 8:00 a.m. for preparation time.

Pay rate:

$20/hour Afternoon Activity Leader Position In the afternoons, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. , students participate in field trips and activities around the island. We are also hiring activity leaders to help chaperone and supervise students during these outings.

Pay rate:

$16-17/hour Ideal candidates will have: A college degree preferred Experience teaching ESL or working with English language learners A friendly, outgoing, and positive personality The ability to engage, encourage, and motivate students Comfort working with children and supporting a fun summer program Applicants do not need to be available for the full summer.
