TEACHER-IN-TRAINING

Our Teacher-in-Training (TT) program is a paid role with a contract that is a commitment to the full school year. You will be mentored by and given daily professional development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Classroom Support:

Work directly with a grade level teacher (GLT) to assist with instruction, student management, and classroom activities.

Administrative Assistance:

Manage administrative tasks and duties, including grading, to allow your GLT to focus on core instruction.

Mentorship & Growth:

Receive direct mentoring from your GLT and our Master Teacher, gaining hands-on experience and professional feedback.

Instructional Role:

Take on increasing instructional responsibilities as you develop your skills and confidence.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Salary:

A starting wage is $20/hr working 6.5 to 7 hours per day on a 170 day contract.

Annual Raises:

We offer annual raises to reward loyalty and commitment to our school.

Benefits:

This is a full-time position eligible for our competitive benefits package, including participation in the Public Employee Retirement System of Idaho (PERSI) and health insurance.

Stipends:

All stipends are paid at the end of the school year. You are eligible for the following prorated stipends:

• Bilingual (Spanish Fluent): An additional $1,250 annually.
• Bilingual (Conversational Spanish): An additional $500 annually.

Tuition Support:

Highly qualified staff may be eligible for tuition support to help with certification requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

• An interest in exploring a career in teaching
• A post-secondary degree is not required, but candidates with at least an associate's degree, will be strongly preferred
• A competitive spirit and a passion for our unique academic and sports-focused mission
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Teachers-in-Training are asked to follow students throughout the day including to their hour of daily physical education where they will be expected to assist the PE teacher as needed.
