Job Description

Category Schools - General Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Bilingual English & Spanish Teacher for grades 6-8 at a supportive junior high setting. This contract role offers a chance to make a difference in a student-centered environment, working onsite with class sizes of 20 or fewer students. As an educator passionate about fostering growth in early adolescence, you'll be building meaningful connections with students and positively impacting their learning journey from August 17, 2026, through June 2, 2027.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Professional Educator License (PEL) required Bilingual—proficient in both English and Spanish Experience teaching junior high or high school (above elementary level) Demonstrated history of consistent career growth in education Student-focused teaching style and commitment to student development
Key Responsibilities:
Teach 6th-8th grade students in both English and Spanish, creating a culturally responsive classroom atmosphere Deliver engaging lessons tailored to students' needs in classes of 20 or fewer Collaborate with colleagues to support student well-being and academic progress Develop lesson plans that prioritize student understanding and real-world engagement over rigid curriculum delivery Maintain accurate records and track student progress Foster a safe, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment
