Job Description

Category Schools - General Education Teacher Job Type Contract A vibrant junior high environment in the greater Cicero area is seeking a passionate Bilingual Teacher proficient in both English and Spanish for a contract position from August 17, 2026, to June 2, 2027. This onsite role focuses on supporting 6th to 8th-grade students, with a small class size of 20 or fewer, so you'll have strong opportunities for meaningful student engagement and differentiated instruction.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) required Demonstrated experience teaching at the junior high or high school level; above-elementary experience highly preferred Fluent in both English and Spanish; able to deliver instruction and support in both languages A record of career consistency in education roles Genuine commitment to student-centered teaching rather than strictly curriculum-focused approaches Ability to engage diverse learners and foster a positive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality instruction to bilingual junior high students in a supportive classroom of 20 or fewer students Develop lessons that encourage active participation and address a wide range of learning needs Work collaboratively with faculty and staff to create an inclusive, engaging school culture Utilize formative assessment to guide instruction and foster student growth Serve as a positive role model, inspiring students to excel academically and personally
