This bilingual role (English/Spanish) offers a rewarding opportunity to empower parents, promote healthy child development, and strengthen families within our community. As a Parent Educator, you will deliver personalized home visits, facilitate parent-child activities, and connect families to essential community resources. Your enthusiasm and cultural sensitivity will help foster positive outcomes for children and their families. Duties Conduct engaging, culturally sensitive home visits with families to support early childhood development and parenting skills. Provide education on child health, safety, nutrition, and developmental milestones in both English and Spanish. Assist families in navigating child protective services, child welfare systems, and family law when necessary. Offer crisis intervention and conflict management strategies to help families address challenges effectively. Collaborate with social workers, behavioral health professionals, and community agencies to ensure comprehensive family support. Document visit details, family progress, and action plans accurately in program records. Promote positive behavioral health practices and reinforce healthy parenting techniques during interactions. Qualifications Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required to effectively serve diverse families. Experience working with children, families, or in social work settings is highly desirable. Knowledge of child protective services, child welfare policies, and family law enhances your ability to support families appropriately. Strong crisis intervention and crisis management skills are essential for addressing urgent family needs. Familiarity with childcare practices, behavioral health concepts, and conflict management strategies is preferred. Ability to build trusting relationships with diverse populations through empathetic communication. Prior experience or training in social work, family services, or related fields is a plus.
