Located 45 minutes north of Boston in Beverly Farms, GUS was founded in 1977 with an experiential, place-based philosophy that integrates all subjects and creates opportunities for students to be passionate in their pursuit of knowledge.
The Position:
ForSY 2026-2027
- The part time Spanish teacher is a dedicated educator who guides students in exploring the Spanish language and culture through engaging and meaningful lessons. They develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that supports students communication skills, cultural awareness, and overall academic growth. Collaborating with grade-level teachers, the Spanish teacher ensures the program effectively meets the diverse needs of all students at GUS. Description Key Responsibilities, include but are not limited to: As an independent day school, we expect teachers to become involved in the life of the school. Beyond classroom work, teachers attend weekly school meetings, school functions, and community events. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Supporting the mission and philosophy of the school Designing and implementing a balanced Spanish curriculum that introduces students to the language, culture, and traditions of the Spanish-speaking world Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages communication, cultural appreciation, and collaboration Integrating fundamental language skills, cultural perspectives, and interdisciplinary connections across grade levels Collaborating regularly with grade-level teams to support student learning Working closely with faculty to align around shared goals and program outcomes Keeping accurate and up-to-date records of student progress Meeting with administrators as scheduled to support student growth and program alignmentQualifications:
