American Sign Language Teacher (2026-2027) Minuteman High School - 4.2 Lexington, MA Job Details Full-time $68,494 - $128,195 a year 19 hours ago Benefits Dental insurance Retirement plan Qualifications Teaching Certification Full Job Description Minuteman High School is seeking a qualified World Language American Sign Language Teacher starting in the 20262027 school year.
Major Responsibilities:
Implement lessons and Project-Based Learning activities from curriculum specifically designed to coincide with the Massachusetts State Frameworks and Common Core State Standards. Manage classroom affairs, adjust to various audiences and learning preferences, and promote a growth mindset. Apply relevant technologies to enhance teaching and learning. Attend staff, team, and IEP meetings and contribute to committees as required. Function as a team member and work collaboratively with Minuteman educators and staff in order to integrate challenging technical concepts into a dynamic curriculum. Contribute to the design and implementation of curriculum and lessons that integrate ASL concepts with Career and Technical (CTE) disciplines. Assist the administration in implementing District goals and policies related to the educational and operational needs of the District. Maintain a professional demeanor. Perform any other related task or duty at the direction of the building Principal or their designee.
Qualifications:
Licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in World Language [American Sign Language], 5-12 preferred. Prior teaching or substitute teaching experience preferred. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
Additional Requirements:
This position includes but is not limited to: walking around the school, observing students while they work in their program areas, standing for periods, occasionally lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds, reading documents, using a computer, listening and speaking, using office equipment, maintaining energy throughout the day, and handling stress effectively.
Terms of Employment:
Full-Time, School Calendar.
Effective Date of Employment:
August 25, 2026.

Principal.
Compensation:
Salary range is $68,494.00 - $128,195.00, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, prorated to date of hire. Eligible for health, dental, and retirement benefits.
