Start Date:
September 1, 2026 Responsibilities include:
  • Create a classroom environment that encourages language exploration, cultural appreciation, active student engagement, and respect for diverse perspectives that foster a strong sense of belonging for all students
  • Plan and deliver motivating, standards-aligned lessons that support the development of speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in Spanish, with clear learning objectives, purposeful learning activities, and opportunities for students to demonstrate understanding
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to engage diverse learners and support language acquisition at different proficiency levels, including proficiency-based approaches aligned with ACTFL standards
  • Assess student learning using a variety of formative and summative methods and use data to inform instruction and support student growth
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with students, family, and colleagues to support student-learning and well-being
  • Collaborate with department colleagues on curriculum planning, common assessments, and enrichment opportunities such as language clubs or cultural experiences
