Rising Tide Charter Public School (Rising Tide) is a free charter public school in Massachusetts. Rising Tide serves approximately 600 students in grades 5-12 from 20 towns in the school's designated region; the majority of the students are residents of Plymouth. Rising Tide provides an academically challenging environment with high standards for all in a safe, small, and rewarding setting. Teachers develop the curriculum based upon the schoolwide objectives, benchmark skills, and subject area essential questions; the curriculum is aligned with the Massachusetts State Frameworks. Teachers are encouraged to utilize an inquiry-based approach for building skills, content knowledge and understanding within the classroom. At Rising Tide, full-time teachers are a part of grade-level and curricular teams, are advisors for students, and are given opportunities for leadership within the school. Teachers also design and implement elective courses in addition to the courses in their primary discipline.
