We are currently seeking a French Teacher starting in Fall 2026 at an independent school in Ann Arbor, MI.

French Teacher Responsibilities:

Teach several French courses at various proficiency levels for students in grades 6-12. Teach French language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing through a variety of instructional methods. Create opportunities for students to practice conversational French and improve pronunciation and comprehension. Organizing fun events where students can showcase their French language skills. Communicate with parents regarding student progress and behavior. Participate in regular professional development activities to stay current with best practices and innovation in language education. Serve as an advisor for students ensuring student success.

French Teacher Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in French, Linguistics, Education, or related required. Master's degree preferred. Proven written and verbal proficiency in French. 2-3 years of previous teaching experience. No teaching license or credential is required. Strong interpersonal as well as written and verbal communication skills. Organized, dependable, and eager to contribute to the school community. Willingness to assist with extracurricular and school community activities.
