Position Responsibilities:

Provide ESL instruction and support content instruction for English Language Learners (ELLs). Provide consultation to general education teachers who have ELLs enrolled in their classrooms. Collaborate with district staff to implement ESL strategies and core curriculum. Promote parent/guardian involvement in innovative ways that support language development and cultural understanding.

Qualifications:

Valid Michigan teaching certificate with an ESL (NS) and/or Bilingual endorsement (YF, YL, etc.) Must meet Highly Qualified requirements

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Experience providing ESL support services to elementary ELL students Proficient with assistive technology preferred Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents

Salary:

$50,000 -$82,010 (Potential for additional stipends)

Contract:

188 Days (10 months)
