Spanish Immersion Teacher

Grandville Calvin Christian Schools has multiple openings for a Spanish Immersion Teacher in Grandville, MI.

Duties:

provide instruction to students at the Elementary School; plan and prepare instructional curriculum and lessons for Spanish classes, the activities for planning and preparing include demonstrating knowledge of Spanish content and appropriate pedagogy, selecting manageable instructional goals, demonstrating knowledge of available resources, designing coherent instruction, and assessing student learning; implement effective instruction, and carry out professional responsibilities including student discipline and counseling; work in professional learning communities which will include course teams, department teams, and faculty teams to develop and implement curriculum; propose all new curriculum or amendments for approval; and participate in regular professional development to improve their skills in the area of writing curriculum.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in education or Spanish. Must hold a teaching license, foreign teaching certification in education is acceptable. Must be fluent in Spanish. Apply to Eric Burgess at eburgess@gccsmi.org
