Job Summary Perpich Arts High School is seeking a highly motivated Spanish instructor for the 2026-2027 school year to teach Spanish I, Spanish II, and a combined Spanish III/IV course aligned with Minnesota state standards and the school's academic mission. In addition to providing engaging, culturally responsive instruction and supporting student learning through assessment, communication, and collaboration, this position also serves as a Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA), supporting schoolwide literacy initiatives connected to the Minnesota READ Act and the school's MTSS framework to strengthen literacy practices, academic interventions, and instructional supports that promote student success. Qualifications The following qualifications are required of all applicants seeking consideration for thisposition. Only applicants whose application materials demonstrate fulfillment of each ofthese minimum qualifications will be considered for the position. Minimum Qualifications Valid Minnesota Secondary Education teaching license in Spanish. Bachelor's Degree in education or a related discipline applicable to teaching assignment. Demonstrated knowledge of second language acquisition and effective world language instructional practices, including differentiated instruction. Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills and collaboration skills sufficient to work effectively with students, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds. Classroom management and strong oral and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree in Spanish, Education, Curriculum and Instruction, or related field. Experience teaching high school Spanish at multiple proficiency levels. Experience with MTSS implementation, intervention coordination, and student support services. Experience analyzing assessment data to support instructional decision-making. Experience facilitating professional development or instructional coaching.
