Apply Position Description The Department of Romance Studies at Duke University is seeking a qualified instructor of Italian language for a one-year appointment.Qualifications requested for candidates:
PhD in linguistics, literature, language pedagogy, or related areas. This is a full-time position (5 language courses per year) with competitive salary and benefits. We seek candidates with a demonstrated excellence in teaching and curriculum design, a proven ability to work effectively in teams, and a strong interest in working with undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds. Please submit a CV, cover letter, 3 letters of recommendation, and teaching portfolio (statement of teaching philosophy, teaching evaluations, sample syllabi or original teaching materials, and a teaching video, if available). Screening will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
