Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills. Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident status. To design and deliver innovative, standards-aligned learning experiences that foster academic achievement, critical thinking, creativity, and personal growth. The teacher will help students develop the skills, mindsets, and digital literacies necessary for success in college, careers, and citizenship in a rapidly changing world, while building strong partnerships with families, colleagues, and the wider community.PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Implements New Jersey Student Learning Standards and District goals by engaging students in authentic, inquiry-based, and project-based learning. Designs lessons that leverage technology, multimedia, and adaptive tools to personalize instruction and support diverse learners. Provides equitable opportunities for voice, choice, collaboration, and reflection to empower students as active participants in their own learning. Develops and communicates clear objectives and success criteria for each lesson, incorporating equitable opportunities for critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity. Assesses academic progress and social-emotional growth using a variety of formative and summative measures, providing timely, constructive feedback. Maintains accurate, digital records of student progress and uses data analytics to inform instructional decisions. Identifies student needs and collaborates with colleagues, counselors, and support staff to address learning, behavioral, and wellness concerns. Creates and sustains a safe, inclusive classroom culture that values diversity, equity, and respect, fostering a climate where all learners thrive. Effectively manages class time, routines, and transitions to maximize learning opportunities. Builds partnerships with parents and guardians through ongoing, transparent communication (including digital platforms) to support student success. Designs assessments and assignments that require analysis, evaluation, and creation. Supervises students in a variety of school-related settings and activities. Pursues continuous professional growth by engaging in professional learning communities, in-service opportunities, and independent study. Participates in schoolwide initiatives, interdisciplinary projects, and committees that advance District goals. Integrates community, cultural, and global resources into learning experiences to expand student perspectives. Upholds school policies, District regulations, and professional ethics. Performs other duties consistent with the role of a certified educator as assigned.TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Work year and salary to be determined by the Board in accordance with the BHPEA Salary based on education and experience on the BHPEA salary guide between $60,500 and $102,350.This position includes the following:
