High School American Sign Language Teacher

The Academy of Saint Elizabeth, a private, Catholic, independent, college preparatory school for young women located in Morristown, NJ, seeks a high school American Sign Language teacher for the 2026-27 school year. The ideal candidate is passionate about teaching and learning, demonstrates excellent communication skills, embraces student-centered teaching practices, displays effective leadership skills, has familiarity with practical uses of educational technology for instruction, and works collaboratively with a team of dedicated educators. Responsibilities and duties of the ASL teacher include: effective classroom instruction. creating lesson plans and activities in accordance with the ASL curricula. evaluating student performance through regular and consistent formative and summative assessment practices. maintaining classroom records. meeting with parents, teachers, and other professionals. participating in extracurricular activities and school events.
