Job Description

Temple Har Shalom in Warren, NJ (Somerset County) is hiring Sunday morning Religious School teachers for the 2026-2027 school year! If you have a love of Judaism, enjoy working with children, and want to make a difference while earning competitive pay, we'd love to hear from you. This is an in-person position. Current Openings Two Hebrew/Prayer Teachers One Permanent Substitute Teacher Classes meet 25 Sunday mornings between September 2026 and May 2027 , from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. We're Looking for
Educators Who:
Bring creativity, enthusiasm, and a collaborative spirit Create warm, welcoming classrooms where every child feels they belong Use a variety of teaching strategies to engage diverse learners Are comfortable incorporating technology and project-based learning Build meaningful relationships with students and families Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and school leadership Come prepared and share lesson plans and classroom updates regularly Believe that Jewish learning should be joyful and fun! In addition to Sunday teaching, faculty members are expected to attend 2-3 paid faculty meetings throughout the year and at least one Friday evening grade-level service . Teaching experience is preferred, but we enthusiastically welcome new educators who are excited to learn and grow.
