The Principal of Purcell Marian High School Job Overview:
Purcell Marian High School is seeking a dynamic and passionate American Sign Language (ASL) Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. This is a Part-Time position. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in ASL instruction, a commitment to engaging and differentiated teaching, and a desire to contribute to the vibrant faith-based community at Purcell Marian. This position will teach multiple levels of ASL, with a focus on helping students achieve conversational fluency in the language.Requirements:
- Must be able to plan and deliver engaging ASL curriculum aligned with Purcell Marian's curriculum and academic expectations.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learners.
- Integrate technology, active learning, and authentic ASL resources to enhance instruction.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the World Languages Department and across disciplines.
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff to support student success.
- Participate fully in the life of the school, including faith formation opportunities, staff meetings, and co-curricular activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required, master's preferred.
- Valid Ohio teaching license or ability to obtain appropriate licensure.
- Fluency in American Sign Language.
- Prior teaching experience at the high school level preferred.
- Commitment to Catholic education and the mission of Purcell Marian High School.
