This unique opportunity involves working across multiple buildings within a district near Johnstown, OH, providing dedicated language instruction and support to K-12 students. As an advocate for student achievement and cultural inclusion, you will make an impact every day through personalized teaching and collaboration with a passionate educational team.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Ohio certification to teach English as a Second Language Proven background as a General Education Teacher and/or ESL Teacher Experience working with K-12 student populations, with a strong understanding of developmental and academic needs across grade levels Ability to travel between different buildings within the district as required Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct ESL instruction to K-12 students, adapting lessons to address a range of proficiency levels and cultural backgrounds Develop and implement engaging, standards-based lessons supporting language acquisition and academic progress Collaborate with classroom teachers, school staff, and parents to ensure individualized support for each student Assess student progress and maintain accurate documentation of student development and program effectiveness Support a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and motivated to learn Participate in relevant professional development activities to continuously enhance teaching practices This part-time position offers four workdays per week and a rewarding chance to foster language growth in students throughout the district.
