The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childhood development special need students and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, implementing curriculum, and supporting the growth of students in various subjects. We are looking for Foreign Language/Resource teacher. Must be able to teach ASL. Teacher will teach foreign language two periods/day and work as a resource tutor the remainder of the day. Crossing Heritage Academy is a part-time, Christian school. Students are on campus 3 days/week and do work at home 2 days. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that meets educational standards and fosters student engagement. Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages social, emotional, and intellectual growth. Utilize effective behavior management techniques to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere. Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning needs. Collaborate with parents and guardians to support student development and address any concerns. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational trends. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education or related field. Two years classroom experience is highly desirable. Ability to effectively manage classroom behavior and create a supportive learning environment. Work with mainstream as well as special need students. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with students, parents, and staff.
