Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university Valid Texas Teacher's Certificate in subject area assigned Alternative Certification Program applicants must have passed content exam(s) to be eligible for employment According to the LPISD Board adopted District of Innovation (DOI) plan, candidates who are native Spanish speakers with qualified experience could be eligible to teach a course through a local teaching certification. Applicants must meet all District hiring criteria and demonstrate fluent and proficient bi-literacy skills, to include listening, speaking, reading and writing of the Spanish language.
Responsibilities:

Salary:
$63,000 for beginning teacher with "0" years experience. (Based on 2025-2026 Compensation Plan) $1,000 Master's Degree addenda Additional $1,000 Doctorate Degree addenda
Pay Grade:
Certified Instructional, 10
Duty Months Other Information:

ACP Candidates must attach the program acceptance letter with current eligibility status. The District contributes $400/month to the cost of employee only health insurance, which is $175/month greater than the state required amount of $225/month.
