  • 5th Grade — Bilingual Teacher Pecos-Barstow-Toyah ISD is seeking five dedicated and passionate Bilingual Teachers to serve students at Austin Elementary and Zavala Elementary.
Successful candidates will deliver high-quality, dual-language instruction that supports the academic, linguistic, and social-emotional growth of English Language Learners. These positions reflect our ongoingmitment to equity, access, and excellence for every student in our district.
Qualifications:
Required:
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate with Bilingual Education supplemental or ESL certification (or eligibility)
  • Strong understanding of second language acquisition theory and bilingual instructional strategies
  • Commitment to high expectations and student-centered learning
Preferred:
  • Prior experience in a bilingual or dual-language classroom setting
  • Familiarity with PBTISD's curriculum frameworks and instructional materials
  • Experience with TELPAS and language proficiency assessment practices
Salary Range:
Uncertified
  • 55k (base) Certified starting with no experience
  • 60k(base) 5 years certified & experienced
  • $68,610.
