Dates:

June 1 - June 22, 2026 Description Access USA seeks a visiting instructor to deliver a three-week design thinking course to Grade 10 students at a group of partner schools in Coimbatore, India, as part of our Global Young Scholar (GYS) program. The instructor will have full latitude to design and deliver the course, which should reflect the Stanford d.school and IDEO tradition of human-centered, project-driven, hands-on learning. Teaching Load Seven Grade 10 cohorts total Monday / Wednesday /

Friday:

three 90-minute cohort sessions per day Tuesday / Thursday /

Saturday:

four 70-minute cohort sessions per day Required Qualifications Current affiliation with a US college or university (graduate student, post-doctoral scholar, adjunct, lecturer, or faculty) Demonstrated familiarity with design thinking methodology Prior teaching experience, including experience teaching with a design thinking pedagogy Prior experience working with high-school-age students Valid US passport with at least six months of remaining validity Availability to begin the India visa application process immediately upon offer Compensation $2,000 to 3,000 honorarium, calibrated to experience Round-trip international airfare, in-country travel, lodging, and meals reimbursed, subject to pre-approval Engagement is as an independent contractor; IRS Form W-9 required prior to disbursement To Apply Send a current CV and a brief (one-paragraph) description of your approach to a three-week design thinking arc for Grade 10 students to i nfo@ausa.io Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis; the position closes upon hire.
