French Teacher for children

About us We are professional, agile, and creative and our goal is to depolarize the world through global connections in language learning. We are a boutique-style language school. We work with all ages. Richmond-based instructors are needed to increase lessons/class availability in the area. This is NOT a remote position.

• MUST have Saturday and evening (4-8 pm) availability
• We are looking for:
• Someone who works well with children (who is creative and uses songs and story-telling to engage children) ages 3-12 for a weekly children's class.
• Someone who feels comfortable leading small group classes for children with their parents.

Duties:

• Deliver engaging French language lessons to students
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
• Utilize instructional design principles to develop effective lesson plans and materials
• Assess student progress and provide feedback on their language skills
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities
• Incorporate technology and digital resources into the lesson to enhance learning
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and share best practices

Requirements:

• Experience teaching French language to students of various ages and proficiency levels
• Knowledge of instructional strategies for education and special education settings
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in French and English
• Availability summer, afternoons, and weekends
• Open-minded, non-judgmental, and accepting of all races, genders, and identities This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated French Instructor to make a difference in the lives of students.

This is a start-up. This is not a full-time job.
