These four mission components guide the development of curriculum as well as the evolution of the EPS culture. Founded in 2002, Eastside Prep was re-accredited by NWAIS in January 2019. Eastside Prep has grown from 17 students in 2003-2004 to a projected total of 540 students for academic year 2026-2027.
Position Summary :
Reports to a Division Head and Director of Enrollment Management. Responsibilities will include developing curriculum and teaching Spanish language and literature to students in grades 5 - 12 and serving as the school's Spanish language community ambassador. All full-time teachers work as part of a teaching team to create an inquiry-based interdisciplinary program in which the academic disciplines are taught as systems and methods of thinking about significant content. Responsibilities include curriculum development, teaching, assessment, communication with parents, collaborative work with colleagues, and general engagement with the entire school. As the Spanish Language Community Ambassador, this position also supports Spanish-speaking families through admissions, onboarding, and major community events; reviews and edits Spanish-language communications—including enrollment, registration, and financial aid materials—to ensure cultural and linguistic accuracy and accessibility. The curriculum at Eastside Prep has been developed—and is continually revised—by the faculty who teach it. Teachers work collaboratively across disciplines and across grade levels. Eastside Prep teachers work with students in a variety of group configurations including classes, advising, project development and implementation, and extra-curricular activities. A school-wide ethic of good citizenship guides faculty and staff in their interactions with families and colleagues. A commitment to creating a full sense of belonging for all community members through work in EICL (Equity, Inclusion and Compassionate Leadership). Class size is limited to a maximum of 18, with several classes averaging 14 -16 students.
Credentials and Experience :
BA degree required; master's or doctorate preferred Minimum of three years teaching experience in the discipline, with some experience in the development of interdisciplinary curricula
Compensation:
Our competitive annual salary range is $69,500 to $117,950 based on experience. EPS offers a comprehensive benefits package to support our faculty, staff, and their families.
