College STUDENT Employment Duty Schedule:
Stipend paid is based on bi-weekly teaching and research work through project studies in the laboratory. Monday - Friday. Will be working with mentor for work schedule.
Summary/Objective of Position:
The graduate students and Undergraduate Scholar Honor students have been selected with mentors Dr. Shazia Hakim, Dr. Demetra Skaltsas, and Oleksandr Makeyev for the upcoming academic semesters. During the spring Semester at Diné College campuses, these students will continue developing their knowledge and research skills in the field of biological sciences through laboratory and/or field-based research experiences. This RPAF is a continuation from the fall semester and includes a large cohort of interns employed under the School of STEM through this grant. The interns are currently enrolled in Master's studies for Fall and Spring semesters. Description of Essential Functions of the

All MS Students are required to actively conduct and accelerate their thesis research in parallel with their coursework to ensure timely defense of their thesis. This includes completing experiments outlined in their research design, analyzing and interpreting results, and progressing with thesis writing. Students are expected to dedicate a minimum of 20 hours per week in the lab toward their thesis research. Must be in good standing, enrolled in STEM classes with Dine College.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience Minimum:
Must be Dine college student - the graduate and undergraduate Honors Scholars in the MS biology program.
Preferred:
Graduate students and undergraduate Honors Scholars in the MS biology program.
Knowledge:
Knowledge commensurate with their placement in their Graduate undergraduate Honors Scholars program in the MS Biology program.
Skills:
Graduate students and undergraduate Honors Scholars in the MS Biology program.
Abilities:
Abilities commensurate with their placement in their Graduate, undergraduate Honors Scholars program in the MS Biology.
Physical Requirements, Work Environment & Travel:
Field work and requires walking, wear proper clothing and work with other interns from other schools Other Requirement(s): None
