Biology Teaching Fellow - Half-Time

The successful candidate will possess somecombination of the following with respect to credentials and experience: Preferred qualifications include a doctorate (ABDconsidered) or master's degree in microbiology, immunology or related field and experience teaching needed courses. Applicantswith demonstrated university-level teaching experience will receive special consideration. Preference will be given to applicantswho can teach broadly in Biological disciplines, including microbiology and immunology. The individual hired for this positionwill be expected to enthusiastically embrace the following responsibilities and objectives: Teach two (2) in-personundergraduate courses per semester in biology at the Davenport campus. Participate in biology faculty department activities andservice. Have a willingness to engage in face-to-face and online teaching modalities as needed. Be committed to supported and guided, evidence-based innovation in pursuit ofcreating impactful learning experiences for students. Engage in ongoing professional development appropriate to thefaculty member's discipline and academic responsibilities. Offer high quality learning experiences for students in a range ofmodalities (e.g., face-to-face, hybrid, and online), or demonstrate a demonstrable willingness to learn how to do so. InAugust 2024, St. Ambrose University and Mount Mercy University signed an agreement to fully combine the two universities. The universityreceived approval from its accrediting body in 2025 and anticipates regulatory approval in the coming year. Mount Mercy employees became St.
