Adjunct Biology Faculty - Introductory Molecular Biology

Position Summary Job Description:

The Adjunct Biology Professor will teach Introductory Molecular Biology lecture and/or lab for undergraduate students. The instructor is responsible for providing high-quality, engaging lab instruction that promotes scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and practical laboratory skills.

Other responsibilities include:

Instruct and supervise students in biology lecture and/or lab sessions according to established course objectives and departmental standards. Develop and deliver introductory molecular biology course instruction including syllabi, lecture materials, assignments and assessments. Emphasize proper laboratory techniques, safety protocols, and the scientific method. Assess student lab performance through lab assignments, practical exams, and participation. Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress. Collaborate with full-time faculty to ensure consistency and alignment of lab content with lecture courses. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students. Maintain compliance with all institutional, departmental, and safety policies.

Experience and Education Required Master's degree or higher in Biology or a closely related field. Experience teaching or assisting in college-level biology labs preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of laboratory techniques, safety, and biological principles. Strong communication and organizational skills.
