Job Summary Working within a learning college environment, this position provides instruction in-person, hybrid, and.or online courses in the Health Information Management program. Instructors will develop course materials, deliver lectures, evaluate student performance, and monitor student attendance on an ongoing basis. Essential Functions Adjunct faculty are expected to teach in-person, hybrid, and/or online courses in the Health Information Management program. Instructors are expected to develop course materials, deliver lectures, evaluate student performance, and monitor student attendance on an ongoing basis. Minimum Qualifications 1. A master's degree in the teaching field, OR A master's in any teaching field with 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching field OR a bachelor's degree plus 3 years work experience in the field to be taught, OR an associate's degree or 64 semester hours and 5 years work experience in the field to be taught, OR 5 years work experience in the field to be taught 2. EDU 250 - Teaching and Learning in the Community College or equivalent must be completed within two years of the date of hire Desired Qualifications Doctoral degree in Health Information Management or related discipline. Special Working Conditions Candidate must hold HIM credentials (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CCA, CPC, CPC-H, CDIP, CHDA, CHPS, etc.) or other relevant credentials for courses being taught (i.e., JD) How to Apply Only applications with unofficial transcripts, resume/Curriculum Vitae (CV), and cover letter addressing how the applicant meets the stated qualifications will be considered.
