Adjunct Faculty:
Administration & Management in Sport Posted 29-Jun-2026 (CST) Academics Dubuque, IA, USA tobe discussed at interview Salary Part Time Loras College invites applications for an adjunct faculty position beginningAugust 2026 to teach CLD 535 Administration & Management in Sport in Fall 2026 semester. This course is exclusively online, andasynchronous, and is part of the required curriculum for our Master's in Coaching Leadership program.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
Teach assigned course as specified in the schedule and coursecontract. Participate in orientation to become familiar with the College's mission, academic policies and procedures,expectations, and Learning Management System, eLearn (Moodle). Clearly communicate course objectives and learning outcomes,teaching methodology, assignments and deadlines. Employ a variety of teaching styles to effectively deliver course contentdemonstrating both academic and real-world applications of concepts covered. Encourage active learning through discussion topics,class assignments, group projects, etc. Provide feedback and grade assignments to students in a timely and thorough manner (within24-48 hrs.). Outreach to students who are not attending synchronous class times, submitting assignments, or showing other evidenceof active engagement in the class. Report early alerts for students who are not actively engaging in the course throughWatermark. Establish virtual office hours to provide additional assistance with student questions/concerns. Ability tolegally work in the United States. Applicants who require sponsorship will not be considered. Minimum Qualifications A minimum of a Ph.D. in Sport Management, Business Administration or a related field isrequired Student-centered approach and passion for teaching and mentoring a diverse student population. Ability to usethe Learning Management System effectively to teach, assess and communication with students. Preferred Qualifications A minimum of a Ph.D. in Sport Management, Business Administration or a related fieldis required. D. in related fields will be preferred. Demonstrated excellence in teaching is preferred. Coachingexperience, and experience with teaching online or in a hybrid format preferred. Experience with assessment of studentlearning. Knowledge of and demonstrated experience with integrating instructional technology into classroom experiences.
