Job Description
at Elmhurst College in Elmhurst, Illinois, United States Job Description The School of Business at Elmhurst University invites applications to join the pool of part-time (adjunct) faculty to teach in the area of Business Analytics.
Position Status:
Exempt Salary Range:
The pay range is $3,800-$4,000 for a standard 1.0 credit (4 semester hour) course. New part-time faculty start at $3,800 (Adjunct Level 1).Work Location:
This position is ineligible for remote work. Responsibilities Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate Business Analytics with knowledge of Power Query, SQL, Power BI, or R. Adjunct responsibilities include course preparation, grading, and being available for students outside of the classroom. There is a maximum teaching load of six courses per year. Other Responsibilities Supports the mission, vision, and values of Elmhurst University. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Two (2) years of college teaching experience or equivalent. Commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment for a diverse student body. Master's degree in business analytics, information systems, operations research or an MBA with a concentration in business analytics. Functional knowledge of tools such as Power Query, SQL, Power BI, or R. Preferred Qualifications College-level teaching experience. Working Conditions/Physical Requirements The essential functions of this position are primarily performed in an indoor setting with limited exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Work is often sedentary in nature and requires remaining in a stationary position for extended periods. Required abilities include speaking and hearing for in-person and virtual communication, using close and distance vision when reading documents or viewing screens, and performing tasks with repetitive fine motor skills. Work may require occasional lifting, bending, carrying, or otherwise moving objects weighing up to 15 pounds.
