Aug 17, 2026 Job Description Milton Public Schools invites applications from dedicated, forward-thinking educators for a High School Business and Career Technical Education (CTE) Teacher. In this role, you will serve as a critical link between academic rigor and real-world professional application, empowering students to navigate the complexities of the modern economy through specialized coursework and experiential learning. Position Overview The successful candidate will demonstrate a mastery of business principles and the ability to translate industry-relevant concepts into dynamic, student-centered instruction. You will serve as a facilitator of the Senior Career Internship Program and a key contributor to the district's Innovation Pathways initiative. Your primary goal is to foster a rigorous, equitable, and inclusive environment that prepares students for post-secondary success, career readiness, and active civic participation.
Key Responsibilities Your responsibilities include:
  • Instructional Excellence:
    Design and implement curricula that align with Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks, integrating high-impact teaching practices that emphasize critical thinking, project-based learning (PBL), and real-world business applications (e.g., Personal Finance, Principles of Business).
  • Data-Informed Pedagogy:
    Utilize student performance data and formative assessment to differentiate instruction, ensuring all students—including those with diverse learning needs—achieve mastery of course objectives.
  • Career Readiness & Program Leadership:
    Oversee the Senior Career Internship Program by cultivating partnerships with local businesses, coordinating placement, and providing mentorship that bridges classroom learning with professional experience.
Equitable Engagement:
Promote an inclusive classroom culture that reflects the diversity of our student body. Actively collaborate with families, guidance counselors, and special education teams to support the social-emotional and academic growth of each student.   • Licensure:
    Valid Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) License in Business (9-12) or equivalent CTE certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to create rigorous, inquiry-based learning environments.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to serve as a professional representative of Milton Public Schools when coordinating with corporate and At least 3 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
