Secondary IB Business and Computer Science Teacher 26 27 Utica Community School District - 3.7 Sterling Heights, MI Job Details Full-time 12 hours ago Qualifications Employee relationship building Stakeholder relationship building Full Job Description Qualifications Valid Secondary Michigan teaching certificate preferred. CTE Certification Requirement- Candidates must meet one of the following: Hold a valid Michigan CTE teaching certificate in Business, Finance or Marketing, OR Be eligible to obtain an Annual Career Authorization, which requires documentation of at least 4,000 hours of relevant industry experience. Industry experience should be in one or more of the following areas: Business Management or Marketing or Finance and Computer Science Ability or willingness to teach AP Computer Science. Training may be required. IB experience and / or training preferred. Advanced Placement (AP) experience and/or training preferred. Successful experience working with/instructing secondary students preferred. Applicants must possess strong interpersonal skills and a strong desire to promote student success. Description Provide high quality instruction that supports and aligns to the district's educational vision and mission. Facilitate an environment that fosters the learning of all students. Remain knowledgeable of educational standards and strategies to meet the academic, developmental and social emotional needs of students. Assess and modify instructional practice leading toward increased student achievement. Utilize educational technology to support student's instruction and learning. Establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with students, peers, parents and community.
