Open-Rank, Non-Tenure Track, Tenure-Track, or Tenured Faculty Member, Criminal Law or Business-Related Courses

The Kenneth F. Kahn School of Law at High Point University is seeking applicants to serve on its full-time faculty who are interested inteaching criminal law and/or business-related courses. The School invites applicants from entry-level to those seeking a tenuredappointment. Entry-level candidates need not have any prior law school teaching experience but must show significant promise for excellencein teaching, scholarship, and service. The School encourages applications from all candidates who will contribute to the school'sstimulating intellectual environment. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with each candidate's qualifications and experience. Juris Doctor from anABA-approved law school Exemplary academic record Successful completion of the bar exam in at least one U.S. state Demonstrated interest in teaching and student mentorship and in creating an inspiring, welcoming, and dynamic learningenvironment for all students Clear commitment to legal scholarship Excellent interpersonal skills sufficient to workeffectively with other law school faculty and staff Willingness to contribute actively to the mission, vision, and objectives ofthe

School and University Preferred Qualifications:

Relevant experience in the practice of law or in arelated professional field Prior teaching experience at a law school or graduate school. Record of scholarlypublications and presentations that contribute to the improvement of the law, legal education, and/or the legal profession Activeengagement is with professional organizations, such as discipline-specific organizations and bar associations
