Job Description:

The Department of Business, Aviation, & Construction Professions (BACP) at DCC invites applications for a Tenure-Track faculty position in Business specializing in Marketing. This position has an expected start date in August 2026. We are seeking a dynamic and student-centered Marketing professor to join the BACP department. This full-time faculty position involves teaching a range of marketing and business courses (including digital marketing), while contributing to the campus community, student advisement, and committee service. The ideal candidate will be passionate about accessible education, innovative pedagogy, and community engagement.

Primary responsibilities include:

Teach in-person, hybrid, and online undergraduate courses in Marketing, Digital Marketing, and general Business topics. Develop and revise course curricula to reflect current industry trends and academic standards. Incorporate technology and experiential learning into classroom instruction. Assess student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback to students. Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Participate in department meetings, college-wide committees, and student club activities, and engage in campus community events. Participate in assessment activities and professional development. Contribute to program development through curriculum improvement, recruitment efforts, and community outreach. Maintain regular office hours and provide academic support to students.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in Marketing or Business Administration (MBA), or a closely related field. Official transcripts required upon hire. College level teaching experience in marketing and business. Experience utilizing simulations and online adaptations in the classroom. Effective interpersonal and communication skills. An appreciation for diversity for all types and how diversity impacts learning and instruction. Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching at a community college. Work experience in marketing/digital marketing/professional selling. Ability to teach a variety of courses in our Business Management and Business Administration programs. Demonstrated competencies in a variety of teaching methodologies and/or pedagogical approaches that reach a broad range of learners. Teaching experience includes both in-person and online modalities. An understanding and appreciation of the role of the community college in higher education. Experience in using instructional technology in the classroom and a willingness to adopt new and emerging technologies. Experience and familiarity with a learning management system (LMS) such as Brightspace, Blackboard, or Canvas.

Additional Information:

Review of applications will begin in January 2026 and will continue until the position is filled. Tenure-Track Faculty - Business is a full-time, permanent position. A current resume or curriculum vitae is required. Professional letters of reference are required. The successful candidate must be able and prepared to teach at the Main Campus in Poughkeepsie and at DCC@Fishkill. New tenure-track full-time faculty with a terminal degree will normally be appointed at the rank of assistant professor, as per the college's Professional Staff Handbook.

Classification:

Dutchess United Educators (DUE), Tenure-Track Full-Time Teaching Educator Full-Time faculty positions are covered by a collective bargaining agreement between Dutchess Community College (DCC) and Dutchess United Educators (DUE).

Salary:

$68,145 - $88,601, commensurate with experience and terminal degree.
