Description:
King University, a private, comprehensive university founded in the Presbyterian tradition, is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Assistant or Associate Professor of Finance in the School of Business, Economics, and Technology. This is a full-time position. King is located in the beautiful foothills of Northeast Tennessee and is a Christian liberal arts institution. Review of applications will continue until the position is filled.
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified applicants will possess an earned graduate degree in Finance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ph.D. or DBA in Finance, and one or more years of full-time teaching experience. Investment management experience or experience working in a financial trading lab in an academic setting is a plus.
Responsibilities:
The appointed applicant will teach finance courses in the School of Business, Economics, and Technology, design and revise courses, contribute to program evaluation, and participate in student advising and mentoring. The appointed applicant will lead King's participation in a student-managed investment portfolio program as an important co-curricular experience central to the growth, vibrancy, and retention of King's traditional undergraduate population. Qualified candidates will present a compelling vision to grow the undergraduate business major through extracurricular and co-curricular activities focusing on the disciplines of business and finance. Participation in university committees, scholarship, and community service is also expected.
