POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Doswell School Aeronautical Sciences department located in the Arts and Sciences academic division contributes significantly to the mission of the University through scholarly endeavors, engagement of students, and outreach to the community and the aviation profession. The department intends to create and offer a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Operations Management to begin in the 2026-27 academic year. The Doswell School of Aeronautics Sciences at Texas Woman's University is seeking a Fulltime Lecturer faculty member. The candidate will work in partnership with the College of Business to develop and teach new undergraduate courses specific to topics related to aviation operations and management. The new degree will include existing courses associated with the Business Management degree program.
Minimum Educational Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in aviation management, or related program specific to flight or other aviation industry operations
Preferred Educational Requirements:
A master's degree with 18 graduate hours in aviation management or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Direct industry experience in CFR Title 14 §121, 135 or other aviation related industry in a management role

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Lecturer position is intended to provide classroom instruction for the Aviation Operations Management program as a fulltime instructor. This degree program will be new to the Doswell School and this position will be responsible for developing the courses in the degree program and working through the THECB and SACSCOC approval process. The instructor will be assigned to the Doswell School of Aeronautical Sciences but will work closely with The College of Business to create the 60 Scholastic Credit Hours curriculum requirements specific to the degree. The position includes participating in various program/school marketing and promotional events as well as service to professional organizations, and service to the university including participation in department, college and university committees.
