Job Type Part time This job profile is only for faculty members hired to complete a short-term and/or part-time academic work assignment, such as teaching one or more courses for one or two academic terms. The McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia invites applicants for one or more part-time, faculty wage positions in the Accounting Area, for the 2026-27 academic year, beginning in August 2026. The position will teach one or more sections of Foundations of Financial Accounting, or related courses in financial accounting. Qualifications A CPA or a graduate degree in Business or a closely related field is required. Industry or educational experience in the accounting field is required; previous experience teaching accounting in a higher education setting is preferred. Exceptional interpersonal and collaborative team skills and the desire to work in a dynamic environment that stresses teamwork, innovation, and student-centered learning.
