Job Type Part time This job profile is only for faculty members hired to complete a short-term and/or part-time academic work assignment, such as teaching one or more courses for one or two academic terms. The McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia invites applicants for one or more part-time (up to .33 FTE), faculty wage (non-tenure eligible) Marketing faculty positions for the 2026-2027 academic year. The faculty member will teach 1.5-7.5 credit hours during the 2026-2027 academic year, primarily Principles of Marketing, with additional teaching as needed based on instructional needs.
Qualifications:
A master's degree in Business or a closely-related field is required; a Ph.D. in a relevant field is preferred. Relevant industry or educational experience is required; previous teaching experience in a higher education setting is preferred. Exceptional interpersonal and collaborative team skills and the desire to work in a dynamic environment that stresses teamwork, innovation, and student-centered learning is required. The McIntire School of Commerce Established in 1921, The McIntire School of Commerce (www.commerce.virginia.edu), is a college of the University of Virginia, one of the highest ranked public universities in the United States. Physical Requirements:
