Job Description

Position Summary Prepare and administer laboratory assignments which provide practical experiences for students. Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications and must submit a complete application packet to be considered. A complete application consists of the following: Online application Current résumé Copy of high school diploma and/or college transcripts (Transcript of college work verifying degree requirement; must include degree awarded and date confirmed. Unofficial transcripts will be accepted before the deadline, but official transcripts must be received if employed.) Application materials must provide documentation that the applicant meets all minimum qualifications. Applicants must provide information from previous employers documenting full-time related work experience if an offer is made. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assign & direct lab exercises for students and classroom instructors. Advise and assist students with classwork and homework. Display/demonstrate pertinent tests and procedures. Maintain student records. Assist and supervise students. Provide laboratory evaluation for each student. Prepare equipment and activities for lab. Maintain lab equipment. Prepare and maintain teaching materials as required. Unpack equipment; check packing slips. Conduct and maintain lab inventory. Write and revise lab instructions and materials; prepare for use in lab setting. Other duties as assigned. Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate through their experiences and accomplishments:
KNOWLEDGE,SKILLSANDABILITIES
Prior experience in supervising personnel. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Willingness to work directly with students in a lab setting. Ability to work independently. Certifications or accomplishments in the field. Sensitivity and commitment to cultural diversity. Willingness to learn and work with other occupational areas as required. An understanding of the role and philosophy of the community college system. Qualifications MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Associate degree from an accredited academic institution is required. Must be a State of Alabama Licensed Respiratory Therapist is required. Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential is required. 2 years' experience as an RRT is required. Application Procedures/Additional Information
