Swim Instructor/Private Lessons

Job Summary Have experience in swim team or lifeguarding and want to teach private lessons for the summer in an OUTDOOR pool? We are hiring contract instructors for a few weekday mornings

30 at the Hartselle Aquatic Center, Hartselle Alabama location. Perfect side gig for fun money! This work is as a 1099 contractor, paid via monthly check, and you must be 18. Contractors provide their own insurance and current CPR/AED certifications. We teach in individual and small group classes (max 3 students per class) at an outdoor pool.

Compensation:

$20 per 30-minute lesson taught. Those with swim team experience are encouraged to apply. You provide us your availability, and we make those time slots available to clients on our website. Clients register into your time slots, and you teach whichever classes have students. •You are paid for the classes you teach.•Currently, our need is for someone available for one or more of the following: (1)

YOUR OWN CLASSES

Right now we need instructors for Hartselle, but there may be options to teach in Decatur and Athens as well in an indoor pool.

The qualified applicant must have:

Fun, upbeat, patient, friendly, and soothing demeanor around people. Skills as an excellent swimmer and comfort in deep water. Superb responsiveness, calendaring skills, and proven reliability for appointments. Current CPR/AED Certification. Pass a background check. Willingness to use our teaching methodology and philosophy.

CONSISTENT AVAILABILITY

for a self-chosen schedule week to week (e.g. not a shifting schedule). Contractor will obtain instructor insurance (~$175/year) as a 1099 contractor to Ready, Set, Splash Experience teaching in the classroom, at home, or in the pool. Experience as competitive swimmer in summer team, high school team, or college team. The excellent candidate can learn more about us at https://readysetsplash.org .
