About Vita High School Vita High School is a small, independent, non-profit micro high school located in South Phoenix. We currently serve approximately 40 students and are intentionally growing to 70 students over the next several years. We believe education should prepare students for life—not simply for tests.

The Opportunity:
Educator, Mentor & Student Coach You'll become a trusted adult in the lives of 12-16 students. Your role is divided into two parts:
Mornings:
Academic Guide Support students in core subjects using modern learning tools and personalized instruction. You do not need to lecture all day. Instead, you'll: Encourage progress Answer questions Facilitate discussions Support project-based learning Celebrate growth
Afternoons:
Mentor & Life Coach This is where many experienced professionals truly thrive. You'll help students: Set goals Build confidence Develop life skills Explore future careers Stay accountable Navigate challenges Most importantly, you'll simply be a consistent, caring adult in their lives.
This Position Is Ideal For:

Ideal candidates may have:
Experience in education, mentoring, counseling, coaching, or youth development Strong communication and relationship-building skills Patience, empathy, and accountability A willingness to embrace innovative approaches to learning An interest in helping students prepare for adulthood
Required:
IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (or willingness to obtain) CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain within 60 days)
Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree Teaching Certificate (not required) Master's Degree (welcome, not required) Spanish speaking ability (a plus)
Compensation & Schedule Schedule:
Tuesday-Friday 8:00 AM•4:00 PM 32 hours per week Approximately 38 weeks per year
Pay:
