First screening date:
04/16/2026 Under the Direction of the Associate Dean/Athletic Director of Kinesiology and Athletics, directs, provides leadership, and oversees all coaching duties for an interscholastic Cross Country Program. Directs and coordinates all aspects of recruitment and training for athletic competitions and oversees the planning and fiscal management of program activities. Assist in the planning and execution of the cross country program at Barstow Community College. Recruit competitive players. Plan and direct conditioning, training, practice and athletic performance of student/athlete team members. Maintain team statistics and records. Develop and maintain a close relationship with local cross country coaches. Provide compliance with college rules and policies, the Commission on Athletics as well as other applicable regulatory agencies. Perform other work-related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Must have either an Associate's Degree and six years coaching experience; OR a Bachelor's degree and two years experience; Must demonstrate a sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students. All course work and degrees must be from a regionally accredited college or university. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
A part-time, certificated position. Indexed to part-time faculty rate on the BCFA Salary Schedule, plus a $12,500 stipend per semester.
