Job description Company Description SOL Aquatics is a year-round competitive aquatics organization dedicated to developing athletes through swimming, diving, and water polo. Our mission is to promote aquatics through a comprehensive athletic experience that emphasizes skill development, competition, character building, and lifelong healthy habits. We strive to create a positive and supportive environment where athletes of all levels can grow in confidence, discipline, teamwork, and leadership while discovering the lifelong benefits of aquatic sports.
Target Start Date:
Early-mid August 2026. Role Description As a Swim Coach, you will lead scheduled practices, support swimmer progression, assist with swim meets and evaluations, and help maintain a structured, encouraging training environment. Coaches are assigned to swim groups based on program needs and may work with different athlete levels throughout the season. Key Responsibilities Coach swimmers during scheduled practices and assigned swim meets Teach proper swimming technique, race skills, and training habits Foster a positive, structured, athlete-centered training environment Support swimmer progression from recreational to competitive development Track daily attendance using the SportsEngine Motion app Assist with swim tryouts and swimmer evaluations Enforce team standards, USA Swimming regulations, and SafeSport requirements Coordinate swim meet entries and related administrative tasks Verify swimmer roster placement and communicate discrepancies to administration Collaborate with fellow coaches and club leadership to support program operations Requirements Prior experience coaching swimmers aged 10 years old through High School Demonstrated experience developing age-appropriate competitive swimming programming for youth athletes. Strong knowledge of instruction in stroke development, skill progression, and long-term athlete development principles. Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills. Positive, enthusiastic, and professional demeanor. Current USA Swimming required coaching certifications, including SafeSport and CPR/AED (or ability to obtain immediately).
