This dynamic role involves inspiring student-athletes, developing their skills, fostering teamwork, and promoting sportsmanship. The ideal candidate will bring a vibrant coaching style, a commitment to student growth, and a strong background in sports coaching and physical education. As the head coach, you will be responsible for planning practices, guiding game strategies, and creating a positive environment that encourages both athletic excellence and personal development. Duties Lead all aspects of the girls varsity volleyball team, including planning practices, developing game strategies, and executing effective training sessions. Foster a team culture centered on respect, discipline, and sportsmanship while motivating athletes to achieve their best. Oversee recruitment, tryouts, and team selection processes to ensure a diverse and talented roster. Collaborate with school staff on scheduling games, tournaments, and travel arrangements. Implement behavior management techniques to promote positive conduct both on and off the court. Provide mentorship and guidance to student-athletes in areas such as leadership, time management, and academic balance. Ensure compliance with school policies, safety regulations, and athletic association standards. Experience Previous experience coaching volleyball at the high school or collegiate level is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to develop athletes' skills through structured training programs. Strong background in sports coaching with knowledge of volleyball techniques and game rules. Experience working with students in educational or extracurricular settings is advantageous. Familiarity with behavior management strategies to foster a respectful team environment. Additional experience in physical education teaching, cheerleading, basketball, or other sports such as karate or martial arts is a plus. Lifeguard experience or background in swimming and climbing activities can be beneficial for supporting diverse athletic programs.
