At City Beach, we believe success is achieved by developing a productive attitude, effective habits, and the ability to give maximum effort. We aren't just looking for volleyball experts; we are looking for leaders committed to developing the "whole person" through a structured and competitive environment. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in sports coaching, experience working with students, and a passion for youth development through athletics. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence young athletes and contribute to their growth both on and off the court. We are currently looking for coaches who are interested in coach teams, after school clinics, programs, and camps. We are actively interviewing for travel and non-travel coaches heading into the 2026-27 club season. City Beach coaches will have the opportunity to reserve court time for private lessons as well as additional assignments as clinic and program coach. Duties Ability to participate and demonstrate skills competently during drills Maintain consistency in player development by following the prescribed coaching framework defined in the Coaches' Handbook Maintain and implement effective training sessions that promote player growth and development, including technical skills, tactics, and mental preparation Develop individual player skills through personalized coaching and feedback, and provide opportunities for player advancement and recognition Promote a safe and supportive environment for players, and maintain the highest standards of player welfare and safety Communicate effectively with players, parents, and club admin regarding team progress, expectations, and goals Attend and participate in relevant club meetings, training sessions, and events as required Monitor and maintain equipment and facilities used by the team, and report any issues or concerns to club admin

Requirements:

Previous experience in coaching volleyball; previous club and travel team experience is highly desirable Experience working with students of various ages and skill levels Knowledge of behavior management strategies to support positive conduct on and off the court Ability to lead by example with excellent communication skills Passion for youth development through sports and physical activity Technical proficiency in teach all skills involved in the sport Must be organized, responsible, and able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends during tournaments.
