Part time swim Instructor Are you a water enthusiast with a passion for teaching? Do you love making a difference in kids' lives while having a blast in the pool? Lucky Duck Swim School in Gardena, CA, is looking for swim instructors to join our dynamic, fun, and supportive team! If you're reliable, ambitious, and ready to dive into an exciting role, we want you on our team!
What You'll Be Doing :
Instruct :
You'll teach students of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced swimmers, using our proven curriculum (don't worry, we'll train you!).
Safety First :
You'll enforce safety rules, perform rescues when needed, and administer first aid - your role is all about keeping swimmers safe and sound!
Encourage Growth :
You'll evaluate each swimmer's progress and track their development, cheering them on every step of the way.
Creative Solutions :
Whether it's a swimmer's fear of the water or a tricky stroke technique, you'll use your creativity and problem-solving skills to help students overcome challenges.
Teamwork :
You'll interact with parents and guardians, providing feedback on their child's progress and swimming skills.
Pool Care :
You'll ensure the pool area is safe, clean, and well-maintained - we count on you to help create a top-notch swimming environment!
Occasional Extras :
From light cleaning duties to attending in-service training, you'll contribute to making Lucky Duck Swim School the best place for kids to learn how to swim.
What We're Looking For :
A love for the water and teaching children and adults (of course!). A caring, patient, and fun-loving personality. Lifeguard certification ? Great! Not a dealbreaker if you don't have it yet.
Swim Teaching Experience :
At least 6 months or 1 year of competitive swimming experience preferred
Availability :
Flexibility to work in a warm, fun, and sometimes noisy pool environment. Pool is open Tuesday - Sunday. Part-time positions available
Team Player :
Someone who works well with others and is always willing to lend a hand!
